Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ByteSolo Labs ("ByteSolo Labs", "we", "our") handles information in connection with our mobile games and this website (together, the "Services"). It applies to Solitaire One and any other applications we publish that link to this policy.

We have written this policy in plain language. If anything is unclear, email bytesololabs@gmail.com and we will explain.

1. Who we are

ByteSolo Labs is an independent mobile game studio based in India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), the General Data Protection Regulation (EU/EEA), and the UK GDPR, ByteSolo Labs is the data fiduciary / controller of any personal data processed through the Services.

You can reach us at any time at bytesololabs@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We deliberately collect as little information as possible. Our games do not require an account, do not ask for your name or email, and do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or location. The information collected falls into the categories below.

a. Anonymous gameplay analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is used in aggregate — for example, how many deals are played, which game modes are popular, and where players encounter difficulty. The events collected are not linked to your name or email. Firebase Analytics automatically collects a limited set of technical information described in Google's documentation, including:

b. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display ads between games. AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier and limited technical data to deliver and measure ads, and (where you consent to it) to personalize them. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services for details.

On Android, you can reset or limit your advertising identifier from your device settings under Google → Ads. On iOS, you can control advertising tracking from Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

c. Local on-device storage

Game progress, statistics, preferences (such as sound, theme, and animation settings), consent choices, and similar gameplay state are stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard preferences storage. This data stays on your device. We do not upload or sync it. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently deletes it.

d. What we do not collect

We do not collect or process your name, email address, phone number, postal address, precise location, photographs, microphone audio, contacts, calendar, or messages. We do not require you to create an account.

3. Why we use the information

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases:

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with the service providers we depend on to operate the Services:

We may also disclose information if we are required to do so by law, by a legally binding order from a competent authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ByteSolo Labs, our users, or the public.

6. International transfers

Our service providers are based in or operate from multiple jurisdictions, including the United States. Where data is transferred outside of your country of residence, our providers implement contractual and technical safeguards consistent with applicable law (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, where relevant).

7. Retention

Local gameplay data persists on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Analytics data is retained by Firebase according to the retention period configured on our project (we use the default, which is currently up to 14 months for event data). Advertising identifiers and related data are retained by Google in accordance with their policies.

8. Your rights

If you are in India (DPDP Act, 2023)

You have the right to access information about your personal data, to request correction or erasure, to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, and to readily available grievance redressal. To exercise these rights, email bytesololabs@gmail.com.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You may withdraw consent for personalized advertising at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are in California (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information in the traditional sense. Where the use of advertising identifiers for personalized ads is treated as "sharing" under California law, you may opt out from Settings → Privacy options inside the app or by emailing us.

Exercising your rights

Email bytesololabs@gmail.com from the address you would like us to reply to. Because we do not collect direct identifiers, we may need to ask for additional information (such as your device's advertising identifier or Firebase app-instance ID) in order to locate any data associated with you. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

9. Children

Our games are general-audience card games. They are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country, including under India's DPDP Act, where the minimum age for independent consent is 18). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used our Services in a way that requires our attention, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

10. Security

Because our games do not require accounts and store gameplay data locally on your device, the most important security boundary is your device itself. For the limited information processed by our service providers, we rely on the security measures of Google as described in their respective policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify users (for example, through an in-app notice). Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Grievance officer (India)

For complaints or grievances under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, please contact:

ByteSolo Labs — Grievance Contact
Email: bytesololabs@gmail.com
Subject line: "Grievance — DPDP Act"

We will acknowledge your message within seven days and respond substantively within the timeframes required by law.
